Went out for drinks with co-workers last night, got sick on booze for the first time in my life.
Am playing hookie today with Huz – we dropped the kiddo off at daycare and ate a lovely breakfast at Marche. Now we’re going shopping for some fun new clothes, then will watch a matinee, then will go pick out cheeses from Whole Foods for my wine and cheese party tomorrow night.

Dude – NEVER been sick before last night. I blame the amaretto sour I had before 2 margaritas. Blech! Too sweet! It was quite an experience – one I don’t want to repeat. Today is my actual bday and I didn’t have ANY alcohol today. Hoping that my wine and cheese party will have no ill effects!
Yes! I will have people take pictures of the event so that I can share!
Also – I bought my own URL yesterday and my redesign is nearing completion. SO excited to share with you all!

Happy belated birthday!
From watching you and my sister in the early years of motherhood, I see how common it is to never really take time off for just yourself (or for a mom and her hubby).
I am excited for you that you have all of this time to nourish yourself outside of your role as a parent.
I’m more excited about the clothes report than the cheese report!

Danielle! Thanks so much for the comment! I solemnly swear that someone other than me will be taking pictures tonight so that you can actually see me in my hot blue Victoria’s Secret dress (and everyone else). 🙂
Let the cleaning and cooking begin! (Poor kid will be plugged into the t.v. all day so that we can get this house ready for a party.)
