I got a forwarded email from a friend yesterday concerning love and what little kids have said it is. Usually I’m not a fan of forwards, but there were some sweet ones, like:

‘When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.’ Billy – age 4

‘Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.’ Terri – age 4

‘Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss’ Emily – age 8

‘Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.’ Bobby – age 7

But if you really want to know what love is, I’ll tell you. It’s when someone asks you not to watch the season premiere of ‘Lost’ because he’s got a school meeting at the same time, so you patiently wait while Tivo tempts you with it’s red light until the next evening so you can watch it together. That’s love, bitches.
